Set Sail Cruises

A unique experience is available for those who want to explore their inner Jessica Watson: Set Sail Cruises depart daily from the Yacht club, 33-45 Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba at 9.00am returning at 12.00pm and at 12.30pm returning at 3.30pm,  conditions permitting. They will not sail in winds greater than 25 knots or seas greater than 2.5m.

The C35 day Charter Catamaran takes up to 20 passengers for these   cruises that give a different perspective of the Sunshine Coast beaches and shoreline.

You can BYO drinks and nibbles for the cruise.

They also offer Weekend Sunset Cruises on Saturday and Sunday evenings from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. You can enjoy a complimentary drink and share a platter.

Dozens of Northwind guests ( as well as the Northwind managers) have been out with Brian Pearson on the Set Sail catamaran and some have done it twice! They have seen flying fish, dolphins, turtles and all said it was great to see Mooloolaba, Alex, Mudjimba Island and Maroochydore from a different perspective. Some sat at the front of the boat and enjoyed the wind and spray, some took an opportunity to steer the catamaran, some stayed inside in the lounge, some took their own picnic to enjoy while the Coast went by. During the whale season the yacht has got very close to whales while sailing along the coast.

It is a great sight to see the catamaran sailing past Northwind. You can walk to the Yacht Club  on Parkyn Parade (about 15 minutes) or drive -about 5 minutes.

The Set Sail Catamaran can be chartered for up to 20 passengers and is an ideal and affordable experience for families and corporate groups.
