When it rains or you need an indoor activity for yourself or your  family there is a wide variety of attractions to visit in and around Mooloolaba. We have some of them listed here:

 Visit     Sealife Mooloolaba. Formerly known as ‘Underwater World’ you can find this world-class aquarium in The Wharf  precinct, Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba. This is just a 10 minute walk from Northwind Beachfront Apartments. Featuring a hands on touch pool and Australia’s largest display of Jellyfish, this is a must do for those fascinated by life in the oceans around Australia. There are many shows every day from feeding otters to enchanting seal shows and an under water walk through that has four interesting and very different zones. Learn about the turtle rehabilitation work the staff undertake. Take a behind the scenes tour or dive with sharks!                                                                                   

 The Sunshine Coast Regional Art Gallery is in Caloundra (about 20 minutes by car – or you can catch the bus that lets you off near the gallery) Exhibitions by local artists and each year the shortlisted works for the 2D Sunshine Coast Art Prize are exhibited before the winner is announced and the works are auctioned. You can also visit the University of the Sunshine Coast Gallery at Sippy Downs. The Maroochydore Public Library also hosts Art Exhibitions. Treat yourself to a treatment at one of the many day spas here in Mooloolaba. Either on your own or for two, treatments can include indulgent massages and wraps or manicures and pedicures.  

Experience a thrilling 7D movie in the theatre on Mooloolaba Esplanade – several different movies  at  a reasonable price for 15 minutes thrill!

 Visit a gym – whether you want a 24/7 gym or to work out Boot Camp style or attend a spin studio it’s all here in Mooloolaba.                                                               

 

 If you are here for at least a week it could be the right time for you to learn some new cooking skills: Anin at The Thai Wharf Restaurant will show you how to make the ultimate green curry or stir fry, or you can spend a day at The  Spirit House, Yandina learning how to hone your Master Chef skill. “How to Cook” is a cooking school at Cotton Tree where you can learn to ice cakes or any of a variety of cuisines.     The Buderim Ginger Cooking School is also a good place to expand your recipe repertoire.    

 If you are a foody visit the Saturday morning  market at the Big Pineapple – artisan bakers and butchers, vege growers, orchardists, cheese makers and more displaying their wares  under cover. While you’re there check out the food court and other food and beverage businesses based on site.                                                

 Topshots Fun Park This is a 10 minute drive from Northwind and features a huge area of arcade games. Entry is free and you just pay for the games being played.

 Chipmunks– indoor play ground with cafés. 10 minute drive from Northwind. Great place for the younger children, Capital Place, Kawana

The Big Boing with a massive free running area, a slam dunk area, dodgeball court, giant airbag and a foam pit for toddlers amongst the activities available, there is something for children of all ages.

Shopping                 Wander along under the cover of the verandas along Mooloolaba Esplanade, or go to either The Sunshine Plaza or the newly expanded Kawana Shopping world. Getting to either shopping centre takes 15      minutes by bus or  10 minutes by car.
