November 2016 newsletter We experienced a couple of impressive natural events this month. A storm passed through very quickly and left us with a double rainbow! The other natural event celebrated was the super moon. Thousands of people gathered on the beach and along the water front to watch the moon rise over the sea. September 2016 Newsletter August was full of all kinds of excitement: The Pacific Jewel arrived and over 1000 passengers disembarked. Most spent the weather-perfect day walking around Mooloolaba. Some of our friends were on the cruise so it was nice to spend some time with them. News for July 2016. We finally got some wintery weather towards the end of June. We welcomed the change in seasons, bringing out the jackets and shoes from storage and turning on the heating! We have been enjoying early evening walks which give a new perspective to familiar sights. We’ve also had some spectacular sunsets. April 2016 Newsletter It’s hard to believe we’re doing our April 2016 Newsletter. Autumn is well and truly underway. Mushrooms and fungi are popping up in gardens and parks. Particularly large ones are growing under casuarina trees. March was busy in Mooloolaba with the Mooloolaba Triathlon, a visit from the cruise ship Pacific Jewel, and Easter weekend. March 2016 Newsletter The March 2016 newsletter marks the arrival of Autumn. It’s hard to believe that we’re into another autumn already! Easter and school holidays are sneaking up on us early this year.   We have been enchanted by the sight of many baby bush turkeys as we go for our walks through the revegetation zone along The Spit. A visit from the cruise ship “Azamara Quest” gave our guests an opportunity to watch the comings and goings of tenders while it was moored off-shore in front of our building.
